After a devastating ACL injury in 2013 and a history of concussions, Seattle Seahawks’ receiver Sidney Rice announced his retirement today at the young age of 27. Since 2009 Rice has only played in one full 16 game season.
Rice finished his short career after amassing just over 3000 yards in 7 years of play. Over a 3rd of those yards came in 2011 with Brett Favre throwing him the ball. With the loss of Golden Tate and Rice’s retirement, the 12th man in Seattle will be clamoring for free agent moves to be made in the 2014 season.
