Showtime has renewed Homeland and The Affair for a respective fifth and second season in 2015.
Not much of a surprise, Homeland remains Showtime’s leading original show, while The Affair has been averaging nearly 4 million viewers weekly.
In their new seasons, both shows will keep their current episode count, with Homeland getting 12 and The Affair getting 10.
Of the renewal, Showtime Networks president David Nevins said this:
“In its fourth season, Homeland has brilliantly reinvented itself.
“It continues to capture the attention of a devoted fan base, and has provided an enviable platform for the successful launch of The Affair. With thought-provoking, relevant and addictive storylines, both series have been embraced, dissected and much debated week after week. We’re excited to see more from these complex shows in 2015.”
Both shows air on Showtime Sunday night!
