HBO Max’s breakout series, The Flight Attendant, will receive a major boost in the new year. As reported by Deadline, award-winning actress Sharon Stone is slated to join the show as Kaley Bowden’s estranged mother, Lisa Bowden. Bowden is briefly mentioned in the first scene during short flashbacks, but it appears that she will receive more screen time in the show’s next installment.
“[Lisa Bowden is Cassie’s] estranged mother who would prefer to stay estranged. After a lifetime of dealing with Cassie’s alcoholism, she no longer has any patience or goodwill to spare,” the character’s description reads.
Much of season two is expected to follow Cassie Bowden as she spends time in Los Angeles, California working as a CIA asset. However, things take an interesting twist when she inadvertently witnesses a murder overseas.
Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz and Rosie Perez are expected to return for season two. Behind the scenes, Steve Yockey will also return as the showrunner.
No premiere date has been set for season two as of yet.
