Curry is taking over the NBA landscape once again. No not Steph, but his younger brother Seth Curry this time. Seth is putting on a show for the folks in Las Vegas for NBA Summer League. Curry is leading the entire summer league in scoring as he is pouring in 25.3 points per night. A year after his older brother Steph took the NBA by storm and won the NBA Finals. Seth is making his fair share of noise representing the New Orleans Pelicans in Vegas as well. Now it seems “The Other Curry” will be rewarded for his summer league tear. Following from Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times:
Move over Steph, here comes Seth: Hearing Seth Curry is on the brink of securing a guaranteed contract from the Pelicans.

Playing for New Orleans could mean a good amount of playing time for the young guard, as starting shooting guard Eric Gordon doesn’t have a reliable backup and Norris Cole could be on his way out. We all knew Curry could play as he was a well-known star at Duke, but it is yet to be seen whether his game can translate to the NBA.
Personally, I don’t see much success for Seth in the big leagues. Sure he can shoot but so can thousands of other guys. He has shown a slight ability to create his own jumper but not much. He also hasn’t been very efficient as he’s shooting the rock at 47.8% clip from the field and a horrendous 18.5% from downtown. We also have to keep in mind that he is playing against substantially inferior talent right now than he would be if he got an NBA deal. Nonetheless, NBA money is NBA money so that’s great for him just don’t expect him to have a major impact right off the bat.
