Sergio Rodriguez – also known as Chacho – has decided to end his NBA return after one season with the Sixers. Fersu Yahyabeyoglu reported back in May that if Milos Teodosic left for the NBA, that CSKA Moscow would pursue Rodriguez.
David Pick confirmed the signing on July 15 and stated that the deal was until 2020.

Yahyabeyoglu reported on July 6 that it was a three-year deal with a net worth of 11-million dollars.

The deal is a three-year deal, with an option for the third season.
It appears that although Chacho had interest from other NBA teams, he is happy with what he accomplished in his one season return to the league where he averaged 7.8ppg and 5apg in a back-up/spot starter role.
He now moves on to what was probably the best open point guard job in Europe, being Nando De Colo’ partner. CSKA has now replaced Teodosic and Aaron Jackson by signing Rodriguez and Leo Westermann.
The other players who joined CSKA this offseason were Will Clyburn from Darussafaka, Othello Hunter from Real Madrid, and the previously mentioned Westermann.
By replacing the players they lost and adding Clyburn and Hunter to the mix, CSKA looks to be a shoo-in for the Final Four again this season.
