
The opening round of the NBA Playoffs featured some hotly-contested matchups between some of the NBA’s best teams. Expect the Conference Semifinals to be even more competitive and for ticket prices to increase on the secondary ticket market.
In the Eastern Conference, the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat needed seven games to win their opening round series, but will now turn their attention to each other in a series that will likely shape up into a six or seven-game dogfight. The other Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup features the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks. Cleveland took care of business in Game 1, but expect Atlanta to play better as the series progresses. Also, the health of Kevin Love will be worth monitoring as the series progresses.
In the Western Conference, the series between San Antonio and Oklahoma City is tied 1-1 after a big effort from the Thunder in Game 2. In other Western Conference Semifinals series, the Golden State Warriors carry a 1-0 series advantage over the Portland Trail Blazers. These two teams have had less than 48 hours to prepare for this game, so game flow may be a little slow at first. Still, Toronto’s home games tend to draw some of the most boisterous fans in the NBA.
