Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge isn’t shy about making some draft day deals. He’s done it in the past to acquire Ray Allen and he’s also done it to get rid of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry. In comes the good, out goes the old, that’s the circle of life in the NBA.
If there’s one day in the year, besides the trade deadline, that you can almost guarantee will be full of trades, it is the night of the NBA draft. The 2015 NBA Draft night may be one that has a vast majority of moves. Charlotte Hornets GM Rich Cho has already said to expect draft night to have some deals and now Celtics GM Danny Ainge also agrees with those sentiments.

Whether Ainge is the one to make the moves or not, there have already been a ton of rumors floating around the league. The Brooklyn Nets have said it will be unlikely that they move up, but there are teams looking to move some picks. The New York Knicks may be interested in moving their fourth pick if none of their top guys fall to them, Ty Lawson could be sent away from the Denver Nuggets and both the Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have expressed interest in dealing their late first round picks, the Celtics are even interested in Texas big man Myles Turner.
The one interesting new tidbit is the news out of Sacramento that Kings head coach George Karl has made it be known that he doesn’t want DeMarcus Cousins on his team next season. Boogie could throw a monkey wrench in a lot of plans for some of these teams.
