Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was expected to come into the 2015 season as one of the top backs in the NFL. To date, Marshawn has been a big let down this season.
He’s played seven games this season, he’s only rushed over 100 yards once and now his backup, Thomas Rawls, is shining in his absence.
Lynch’s lack of production might be attributed to an injury.

The running back will need surgery to repair a sports hernia and will likely miss the rest of the regular season, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The surgery is scheduled for Wednesday morning, according to a source.
Lynch is expected to be out about a month so a return is possible if the Seahawks make the postseason.
Lynch met with noted specialist Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia on Monday to confirm the nature of his abdominal injury after sitting out Sunday’s win over the 49ers. Coach Pete Carroll already confirmed that Lynch will not play against the Steelers on Sunday.
Lynch has only put up 417 total rushing yards on 11 carried this season with only three total touchdowns, all rushing. Seattle hasn’t exactly been the most dominating team like they have been in years past but this is usually the time of the year that the ’12’s’ start roaring and the Seahawks start peeling off wins on their way to the playoffs.
While a division title might be out of reach, a Wild Card birth is possible and if Seattle gets into the playoffs, with a healthy Marshawn Lynch, they could be the most dangerous Wild Card team in recent memory.
