The Seattle Seahawks and Athyba Rubin have agreed to a three year deal. Fox Sport’s Mike Garafolo was the first to report the new deal.
Seahawks have agreed to a three-year deal to retain DT Ahtyba Rubin, source says. Was a priority for them.

Rubin was one of many incumbent free agents Seattle had one its roster. The terms of the contract have not been released yet. With limited cap space it appears Rubin took somewhat of a hometown discount to stay with the team. Marshawn Lynch’s expected retirement also figures to give the team even more cap space moving forward.
In 2015 Rubin recorded 36 tackles along with 2 sacks at the defensive tackle position. This is a big signing for Seattle who does a tremendous job of clogging up the middle giving the Seahawks pass rushers more opportunities to get after the quarterback. Rubin signed a one year deal worth $2.5 million last season after spending 7 seasons with Cleveland.
