Seattle’s offensive line has been atrocious this season. They have been unable to really get a run game going but the addition of Brown will sure help things. Currently, the Seahawks sit in a good spot with a 5-2 record, but having a good offensive line is crucial if the Seahawks wish to make a Super Bowl run.
Brown was taken 26th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Texans. He immediately became a key piece in the Texans offense. A 3-time Pro Bowler, Brown can come right into the Seahawks lineup and contribute big time.
The trade also works well for the Texans. Brown could be wanting a new deal soon and the Texans may not have wanted to pay him. The Texans also receive solid draft picks, which they need after advancing in the most recent draft to acquire quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Overall, this trade seems to work for both parties involved. Brown will make his Seahawks debut against the Washington Redskins.
