Former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks is considered a highly-sought after talent by many NBA teams. The frontrunner to land Brooks is reportedly the Washington Wizards. From Marc Stein of ESPN:
The Wizards, meanwhile, remain in pole position in the chase for Scotty Brooks with the Rockets still engaged in a playoff series

Per The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Scott Brooks is the Wizard’s first choice, and the two parties will meet next week:
Scott Brooks has yet to set up a meeting with Minnesota, but there are tentative plans for Washington Wizards officials to visit with Brooks next week, league sources said. Brooks is the Wizards’ top priority, league sources said.
Brooks, who coached Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden early in their careers, has a reputation for developing talent nicely. For this reason, many thought that he would be an ideal fit with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who, between Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng, have an abundance of young talent. However, Brooks could be a good addition in Washington. They, too, have young untapped talent(Bradley Beal and Kelly Oubre Jr. come to mind).
