Former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks was a highly sought after man this offseason. Teams interested included the Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Washington Wizards, among others.
The Wizards have been considered the frontrunners, and Ernie Grunfield, GM of the team, met with Brooks yesterday. Apparently that meeting went well, because Scott Brooks is now reportedly the Washington Wizards’ new head coach. From Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical:

The Wizards are a talented young team, and Scott Brooks is good at coaching talented young teams. It should be a great fit. Plus, his connection to Kevin Durant is likely viewed as a huge bonus by Wizards brass.
Brooks played in the NBA for ten years, and was head coach of the Thunder from 2008 to 2015. As a player, Brooks averaged 4.9 points and 2.4 assists per game for his career. As a coach in OKC, Brooks led the Thunder to 338 wins and 207 losses over the course of his seven-year tenure.
