San Antonio Will Face Portland After 119-96 Blowout Win In Game 7
The San Antonio Spurs gained a 21-point lead early in the second quarter, their biggest lead of this series, and dominated the Dallas Mavericks for a 119-96 win in Game 7. Tony Parker led the Spurs with a team-high 32 points (24 in the first half). Dirk Nowitzi had a team-high 22 points for the Mavericks.
The Spurs were wildly efficient on the offensive end, shooting 69% from the field in the first half and 56% for the game. The Mavericks shot just under 41% and saw their key offensive contributors Monta Ellis (12 points, 3-11 FG) and Vince Carter (10 points, 4-12 FG) struggle to find any rhythm. Manu Ginobili led a 40-point Spurs bench effort with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard, and Danny green combined for 46 points for San Antonio. Devin Harris finished with 17 points for Dallas off the bench.
San Antonio faces Portland in the Western Conference semifinals. Game 1 is this Tuesday.
