San Antonio Takes 2-0 Series Lead With 114-97 Win Against Portland
The San Antonio Spurs jumped out on the Portland Trail Blazers again to gain a 20-point lead in the first half and never look back on their way to a 114-97 win in Game 2 on Thursday night. The Spurs were led by Kawhi Leonard’s 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting, but also had seven different players score in double figures.
San Antonio shot better than 55% from the field in their third straight game, scoring 70 first-half points to Portland’s 51. LaMarcus Aldridge struggled from the field for the second straight game with 16 points and 10 rebounds on 6-for-23 shooting. Nicolas Batum led Portland with 21 points and Damian Lillard finished with 19 points but never got going from the three-point line, where he does his usual damage, making just one of his six attempts.
