The Third different president met Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan as the 2014 defending champion San Antonio Spurs took a visit to the White House as they get ready for their contest with the Washington Wizards later tonight.
In annual fashion, the NBA champion gets to meet the President and they get to exchanges pleasantries as the champion of their sport. It happens in all the major sports, NHL, MLB, NFL and the NBA is no different.
In the video above, President Obama, as always and as expected, makes the crowd laugh and gets to crack some jokes about the Spurs and his presidency as well.

Most championship teams have a big question about the awkward scenario involving “what do we do with the guys who weren’t on the team last season” when visiting the White House but not these Spurs who made only one roster change for the current season, so no worries there.
There were the speeches, a POTUS (President of the United States) jersey was handed to the Pres and lots of kind words were said on both sides.
