San Antonio Advances To The Western Conference Finals With 104-82 Win In Game 5
The San Antonio Spurs will advance to the Western Conference Finals for the third consecutive season and the ninth time in 16 seasons after beating the Portland Trail Blazers 104-82 in Game 5. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green led the Spurs with 22 points each.
The Spurs bench outscored the Trail Blazers bench 220-77 in this series, a factor that remained crucial throughout this match up. LaMarcus Aldridge finished with a team-high 21 points and 10 rebounds for Portland. All five Trail Blazers starters scored in double figures but only eight points from their bench in Game 5 wasn’t enough to combat a 40-point effort from the Spurs bench. Patty Mills had 18 points for San Antonio off the bench. Damian Lillard finished with 17 points and 10 assists in Game 5.
The San Antonio Spurs will play the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder/Los Angeles Clippers series in the Western Conference Finals.
