He is not just a man, myth or a legend. He’s all three in one. Over the course of his storied career, Samuel L. Jackson has had iconic performances in Pulp Fiction, The Incredibles, The Hateful Eight, Jungle Fever, Django Unchained and Snakes On A Plane. In recent months, Samuel L. Jackson has been a force in the political world as a staunch advocate for Georgia Gubernatorial candidate, Stacey Abrams. Nevertheless, Jackson is still a fixture in the world of television and film.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the Hollywood heavyweight will be the voice behind an upcoming documentary about the Transatlantic Slave Trade called Enslaved. The documentary series will explore the history of the Transatlantic Slave Trade four hundred years after the first slaves arrived in North America. Behind the cameras, Felix Golubev and Ric Bienstock will produce the series. In addition, Samuel L. Jackson will executive produce this series alongside a team of talented individuals.
After the news was announced, Jackson said, “For me, Enslaved is an attempt to give a voice to the millions whose voices were silenced.” He added, “For me, this is much more than a TV series.”
