Sacramento is quick to be back on the hunt for someone to take the Kings head coaching job. According to Marc Stein of ESPN:
Sources told ESPN.com that the Kings, who have been openly planning a deliberate search for George Karl’s replacement, have lined up sit-downs with Jackson, Del Negro and Mitchell, whose stint as the Minnesota Timberwolves’ interim coach abruptly ended last week after the Wolves’ regular-season finale.
They’ve started by approaching Sam Mitchell, Vinny Del Negro, and Mark Jackson for sit-down interviews. The Kings fired George Karl right after the regular season ended, which really showed how much they wanted to get rid of him.
Sacramento’s problems never necessarily started at coaching when they hired Karl to replace now Ex-Kings coach, now Nuggets coach Michael Malone. The problem is starting with their lack of leadership and decision making in Vivek Ranadive and Vlade Divac. So even though they’re chasing a coach, their problems are far deeper rooted into the organization then just the Kings coaching job.

Divac has already mentioned that he is interested in another highly mentioned assistant coach Luke Walton (Aka Mr. 24-0) According to the Sacramento Bee, Walton is among a list of other highly respected assistant coaches and ex-coaches that Divac will sit down with to gauge their interest to take on the task of the Kings Coaching Job. Honestly at this point the kings and Vlade Divac should see who is interested to potential sit down and legitimately talk about coaching the team, but for now it’s all speculation. There is no doubt one of these coaches will end up in Sacramento, but which one will DeMarcus Cousins be able to work with? Sacramento has a lot of work to do in the summer and Divac has started by getting a head coach instead of doing that last, like he did last year.
