The Saints continue their roster overhaul. New Orleans has traded wide receiver Kenny Stills to the Miami Dolphins for linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and a third round pick. The trade for Stills gives the Dolphins a viable deep threat option. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport gave insight to what this trade could mean for one Mike Wallace.

The Stills trade could mean the end for Mike Wallace. Stills has a similar skill set to Wallace making him more expendable. After releasing Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson, it became clear the Dolphins were reloading the receiving core. The Dolphins have also signed Jordan Cameron as Charles Clay is expected to go elsewhere. The C.J. Spiller signing also gives the team an added receiving element out of the backfield. A starting lineup of Spiller, Cameron, Stills and Jarvis Landry will be an interesting offense to watch.
Kenny Still’s former team the Saints continue to collect draft picks. New Orleans has collected a 1st, 3rd, and 5th round picks in trades this offseason. The inclusion of overpaid linebacker Dannell Ellerbe allowed the Saints to receive the 3rd for Stills. Ellerbe will likely be released unless a restructured contract takes place.
