DeMarcus Cousins is the almost undisputedly the best center in the NBA, but is probably viewed by many as less untouchable than most superstars due to his history of attitude issues. However, he is an unstoppable offensive force, and is the centerpiece of the Kings. Despite recent reports to the contrary, General Manager Vlade Divac says that Cousins will not be traded this year:
Kings GM Vlade Divac was asked about trading DeMarcus Cousins today after the presser. 'He's not going to be traded – this year for sure'

The Kings recently fired now former-head coach George Karl, and hired ex-Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger, a move that was universally lauded.
Sacramento is hoping that Joerger can discipline this team without causing conflict –not an easy task given the Kings’ roster. He should be a good fit; hopefully he can bring some of that classic Grizzlies “Grit-n-Grind” to the Kings.
Divac giving his word that Boogie Cousins won’t be traded is a move likely intended to keep Cousins happy. It shows Cousins that he is wanted, and trusted by the organization. Cross your fingers that Cousins will finally be able to have a good, drama-free relationship with a head coach in Dave Joerger.
