With current Kings general manager supposedly heading to Denver, the Kings need to find somebody to step in and take the job. Kings executive Vlade Divac is interested in bringing in Jerry West’s won, Ryan West, and luring him away from Los Angeles.
With report that Kings GM Pete D’Alessandro headed for Denver, I’m told Kings exec Vlade Divac has serious interest in Lakers’ Ryan West.

Currently, West is the frontrunner for the job, but depending on how quickly the Kings finish the search and how thoroughly they look, a lot of different names could pop up from now until the hire. The hire should take place before the draft so whoever earns the job can start of their reign by taking the draft pick of their choice.
With a lot of talented youth and newly acquired coach George Karl, the Kings could be on the brink of becoming a playoff team. With the right general manager in place, Sacramento could see themselves go from the draft lottery to the playoffs beginning next season.
