Russell Wilson has been in the news more than usual lately. Usually, a celebrity appearing in the news more than often is not a good thing, but Wilson is in the minority. Over the last few weeks, Wilson has made headlines for signing a new, record-breaking contract with the Seattle Seahawks. He also made headlines when gifted Amazon stocks to his offensive linemen. This time, Wilson is back in the news for another major move. He and his wife, Ciara, have decided to launch their own production company for TV, digital and film.
The couple’s new joint venture is called Why Not You Productions. The company will focus on human interest stories told through television, film and digital mediums. According to Madame Noire, the two were extremely excited to come together for this project. Ciara and Wilson said, “While we work in different fields in our day-to-day, we are excited to come together to collaborate and create stories that we hope will touch people’s lives.” The couple added, “We are both storytellers at heart and we want to be able to share stories that uplift people and inspire others to create positive change. That’s ultimately what we want this company to represent.”
In the meantime, Wilson will prepare for Seattle’s season opener on September 8th against Cincinnati. Meanwhile, Ciara will prepare for the May 10th release of her album, Beauty Marks.
