Not many things are worse than a player going down to injury. The Oklahoma City Thunder know about that all too well with their list of injuries that have hindered them for a majority of the season.
With all the injuries, one man has carried the load for the majority of the season.
The Thunder’s MVP candidate, Russell Westbrook.
With Westbrook leading the way, it also comes with Westbrook’s temper and emotions. That same temper and emotions might cost the Thunder star his next game, in the middle of OKC’s fight to make the playoffs.
Ed Malloy hands Russell Westbrook a technical foul, his 16th of the season. If not rescinded, he'll be suspended for tomorrow night's game.

Russell Westbrook just got his 16th technical of the season. Wowwwwww. He'll be suspended tomorrow night vs the Blazers.

Kevin Durant doesn’t exactly agree with the technical handed out by referee Ed Malloy.
That's some bullshit

There is some hope though, Westbrook and the Thunder might have a case to fight the technical.
Westbrook definitely was not very demonstrative in talking with Malloy. Don't know what he said, but certainly appeared to be a soft tech.

Thunder/Westbrook can appeal the technical. He had one rescinded last month. But it seems like a longshot.

Couple that with the loss to the Indiana Pacers and the Pelicans doing well as of late, it appears the Thunder’s playoff hopes are all but over. You be the judge, was the technical the right call?
