Russell Westbrook went through a messy break up over the summer. As Kevin Durant departed the Oklahoma City Thunder and traveled west to the Golden State Warriors, there were many stories about how KD and Russ clashed. One even detailed Westbrook as the driving force behind Kevin’s departure.
Even still to this day, Westbrook says that he and Durant have not talked this summer. It’s a stark contrast from Durant’s claim that the duo was ‘still cool’. As KD and Russ separate, insert new teammate Victor Oladipo to fill the void as Russ’ new ‘Thunder Buddy’.
When the Thunder acquired Oladipo on the day of the 2016 NBA Draft, many clamored about potentially the most athletic backcourt in the NBA. Even Westbrook declared that he and Oladipo can form to make the best defensive back court in the league. While a lot of those claims will be determined once the season gets underway, one thing is for sure. Russ and Victor are in the running as the best singing backcourt in the NBA.
We all know about Oladipo’s singing chops but Westbrook? It appears his voice is rather calming, in particular to Oladipo right before he goes to bed.

Here's that quote where Oladipo jokes about Westbrook sometimes singing him to sleep. pic.twitter.com/a3kgl6dDnu

Oladipo on Russell Westbrook singing to him: "Some days at night I can't sleep, and I just call him, and he sings me to sleep."

Sorry guys, terrible journalism. Follow-up question should have been asking what Russ' go-to lullaby is. I'll be better next time.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated if Fred gets to ask what song Westbrook sings to him. Based off his snapchat account, we know Russ has some passion for the art of singing but good enough to put you to sleep? Where can I sign up?
