Westbrook Frames, a company that Thunder All-Star guard Russell Westbrook co-owns, has partnered with the NBA to launch a new series. With this new business venture, it truly seems that Russell Westbrook is now officially the biggest fashionisto in the NBA having previously been featured on the cover of iconic publication Vogue Italia and also the newest model for the ‘True Religion’ company.
The All-Star point guard has an impressive fashion resume due to the fact that he’s worked with Barneys New York, True Religion, Zenith Watches, Kings & Jaxs and Jordan Brand. Westbrook Frames has now partnered with the NBA to collaborate on a high-end line of team-specific glasses frames.
Here’s more from Cliff Brunt of the Associated Press:
The initial release includes frames for seven teams – Cleveland, Boston, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami, New York, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. They are available on the Westbrook Frames website for $145. There are designs for all 30 teams, and eventually, the others will be released, said Marc Beckman, Westbrook Frames co-owner and Westbrook’s marketing agent for fashion.
Below are some pictures of the new specs:

The styles will also be available in optic clear lenses and are set for release at Westbrookframes.com, shipping in July of 2015. Some of these glasses honestly do not look that bad, I am just curious to see how they turn out for the rest of the NBA.
