Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder get their 7th win in a row along with a Westbrook triple-double. This is his third of the season and the 11th of his career. Westbrook finished the game with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in only 28 minutes.

As you can see from this graphic, Westbrook is having an awesome February. He’s been an essential part in OKC winning nine of their last 10, leading them to a 32-25 record. Westbrook’s teammate and last season’s MVP Kevin Durant is expected to return this season after having a second procedure on his right foot, however he has no set return date. Westbrook will have to continue to put up these numbers if not better if he wants to keep his team afloat. Now don’t get me wrong, even though Westbrook’s play this season has been an important part to the Thunder’s success it’s not just strictly him. Serge Ibaka has went back to his roots and left all those three point attempts alone. Dion Waiters and Mitch McGary especially have played well to help the Thunder during this run.
If Westbrook keeps it up he might really force his name into the MVP discussion with Curry and Harden.
