According to Royce Young of ESPN, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant had asked to have their lockers be apart in the All-Star Game locker room.
“This year, special requests were made to make sure their lockers were apart. The league accommodated, placing their lockers on opposite sides.”
There has been noted beef all throughout the season for the former teammates after Durant decided to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors this past summer. When he returned for a game against the Thunder, the two got into a bit, with Andre Roberson joining in the trash talk as well.
It looked as if the duo was doing better during the game, as Durant threw an alley-oop to Westbrook in the first quarter, but that wasn’t the case.
The lob brought them back together, if only for a brief moment, and while the players on the bench celebrated, Durant and Westbrook stood on opposite sides of the huddle. They didn’t interact outside of a couple low-fives when one would sub out. During timeouts Durant would stand on one side with Green, Westbrook on the other side with Harden.
The Warriors and Thunder play one more game against each other on March 20 in Oklahoma City.
