Russell Westbrook and LeBron James have been named the Players of the Month for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers, respectively.
Russell Westbrook averaged 31.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 10.3 assists, along with 1.6 steals. He lead the the team without Kevin Durant, and lead them to a 9-3 month in February, putting them in the 8th spot in the West. He also joined the elite company of Oscar Robertson and Wilt Chamberlain. HE DESERVED IT, because with this month, he put himself into the MVP discussion.
LeBron James averaged 25.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists in the month of February, and finally got this Cleveland Cavaliers team back on the right path. The first half of the season was ugly for the Cavaliers and now they are on track to get the 2nd spot in the Eastern Conference. With Toronto and Washington being inconsistent, and Chicago completely derailed with injuries, this is the PRIME time for Cleveland to come up on top.
