Another night, another mind-boggling performance from Russell Westbrook.
Fresh off a clutch performance, including a game-winner, against the Dallas Mavericks, Westbrook did it again on Wednesday. The Oklahoma City Thunder had another phenomenal performance – one of his best in a season riddled with impressive games – in leading his team to another come-from-behind victory.
Westbrook dropped 57 points. He grabbed 13 rebounds. He dished out 11 assists. More importantly, he clawed at a 21-point deficit, scoring 19 of his points in the fourth quarter, including this absurd shot to send the game to overtime:

OVERTIME!

Westbrook’s game allowed the Thunder to win their greatest comeback in franchise history. Individually, he had the highest-scoring triple-double in NBA history, bringing his season total to 38 of the rounded milestone. He is four shy of setting a new single-season record, currently held by Oscar Robertson.
As the Thunder fight for seeding in the postseason, Westbrook is caught in the middle of one of the most competitive MVP races in NBA history. With Westbrook, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and LeBron James playing remarkable basketball, it’s still not clear who will come away with the trophy when all is said and done.
On Wednesday, Westbrook made another case for himself for the league’s highest individual honor.
