The Washington Wizards have been linked to a few back up point guards since trading season has begun, and last night TNT’s David Aldridge reported that The Wizards are shifting their focus away from Jameer Nelson and going for Kings Point Guard Ramon Sessions. Garrett Temple has overtaken Andre Miller’s minutes which clearly shows how comfortable Head Coach Randy Wittman is with the veteran Point Guard. Sessions was available for trade before George Karl was hired, but now it could be difficult to pull off a deal unless Karl is completely satisfied with the deal.

It’s a tough situation for The Kings to be in because Karl has no experience with some of the players on the roster so it’s an adjustment for both players and coach. The Wizards though can use a Point Guard like Sessions who has proven himself to be a serviceable back up in the league. David Aldridge did say nothing was imminent just exploratory talks.
