The Chicago Bulls are desperately trying to add a star player this off season and their latest offer may not force a team like Minnesota to get too ecstatic about a trade. The Bulls are offering Taj Gibson, Tony Snell, and their two first round picks (16,19) in Thursdays draft. If you’re Minnesota you’ve got to be hanging up the phone on that offer or laughing hysterically. Minnesota may not have much leverage due to Love’s contract situation and they need to get something done whether its a trade or build something quick before they lose the All Star Power Forward for nothing at the end of next season. With the offers we’ve heard reported it doesn’t look like a trade is likely anytime soon, and Minnesota might be hanging onto Love for now until the trade deadline.
If Chicago wants something done they’ll either have to spice up the offer a bit or hope for Carmelo via free agency and even that will make General Manager Gar Forman get creative with The Bulls cap space.
