The Boston Celtics enter this upcoming offseason in search of an All Star to build their team around. Last offseason Boston tried desperately to land Kevin Love attempting to pair him with Rajon Rondo. Love even made a trip to the beloved Fenway Park.

The 6’10” power forward looked like he was going to be wearing the Celtic Green until Lebron James and the Cavs swooped in by offering a package surrounding number one pick Andrew Wiggins. After failing to land Love a year ago the C’s have their eyes set on a different power forward this time around.

The picture of Aldridge may or may not mean anything after all as players often times travel during the offseason. The thought of the Celtics adding Aldridge does makes sense if he were to decide to leave Portland though. Aldridge would then get to play in a much easier Eastern Conference while being coached by one of the brightest coaching minds in the game in Brad Stevens. Stevens lead the Celtics to the 4th best record (20-11) in the NBA after the All Star break despite having one of the youngest rosters in the league. The Celtics also have the ability to land another player with an absurd amount of first round draft picks. Could Boston land DeMarcus Cousins along with Aldridge this offseason? The Celtics will certainly be busy this offseason in attempt to build another championship team.
