Cleveland are stacked already. But there’s one thing they need to tighten up. The Center position. Currently they have Varejao and Brendan Haywood which isn’t ideal.
To fix this the Cavs (according to HoopsRumors) are currently trying to get 7″1 Center Timofey Mozgov who’s currently playing for Denver.
The Cavs targeted Timofey Mozgov, offering a first-round pick to the Nuggets to entice them to part with the 7’1? center, as Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports said in an appearance Thursday on WFAN Radio in New York.
It’s not clear whether that offer remains on the table for Denver, but the Cavs, who are over the cap and without a trade exception, would have to send salary to the Nuggets in order for such an exchange to be feasible under the league’s salary matching rules. The Kevin Love trade agreement, in its current form, wouldn’t change that.
If you don’t know. Mozgov has filled in for Javale McGee the past year and is a big body down low. If the Cavs get him that will make the Cavs starting 5 probably the best in the league.
