Last week Royce Da 5’9″ revealed that was coming out with a new album titled Layers. I, for one, am sweating with joy. The LP will arrive April 15th. What’s more, Nickel Nine dropped off two new tracks, which were premiered on Sway In The Morning on Shade 45. Thanks to the good people over at HHNM for the radio rip, because now we can get a taste of what Royce is bringing to the table. The first track “Tabernacle” is introspective 5’9″ flowing over the perfect backdrop to illustrate his story about coming up from 9 Mile. Secondly, “Dead Presidents Heads” is a classic lively Streetrunner-produced record where Royce spits recklessly with the precision of a decorated sniper.
