For years, OVO has endured criticism from fans and journalists alike. Despite the criticism, the stable of artists has continued to develop under the leadership of the biggest artist in the world, Drake. During the COVID-19 pandemic, OVO has offered an escape through music and been more active that it has ever been. Beginning with PARTYMOBILE and transitioning into DVSN’s A Muse In Her Feelings, the label has managed to remain active despite the obvious obstacles created by the pandemic. More recently, OVO’s front man, Drake, dropped a collection of loose tracks. Now, the focus shifts towards Roy Woods.
The Canadian singer, rapper and songwriter first sparked rumors that he may be dropping a new project when he released the “Shot Again” video back in January. Months later, he followed up with the “I Feel It” video. Just three days ago, he confirmed the rumors when he announced that he would be releasing a six track project called Dem Times.
Dem Times is Roy Wood’s first studio release since he put out Say Less in 2017. This time around, he’s taking the journey alone with no features and production from K Beazy, Harv, Grayson Michael and Jordan Ullman. Check out the full project above and let us know what you think of Dem Times.
