There was no better time for Roy Hibbert to leave Indiana. They needed to mix the team up a little, and Hibbert just needed a fresh start. Because those last two years were very sketchy to say the least!
Now Hibbert is in Los Angeles, with a Laker team that only want him for defensive purposes, they don’t want much from him on the other side, just get boards and block some shots, simple!
Roy has successfully settled into the West Coast, but last week he officially moved out of Indiana and to celebrate, he invited Paul George and other Pacers to kick it for one last time.
Before Hibbert moved out of his Indiana home last week, he invited Paul George to come over one last time, hiring a barber to give the former Pacers teammates haircuts in the barber-shop chair in Hibbert’s man cave.
“I don’t harbor any resentment. I don’t want to see those guys do badly,” Hibbert said.
He obviously wants to do well with the Lakers, who start training camp Sept. 29 in Honolulu. He’ll be a free agent next July.
Hibbert better show out, I don’t think he’s a lock at all. I really hope that making the move will help get his groove back, because like I said, they don’t want much from him. The Lakers are clearly one of those teams that want to have the small ball philosophy, but I still think centers are important, they just have to be utilised properly.
