The Cleveland Cavaliers came into the United Center happy against the Chicago Bulls in Game 3. They destroyed them in Game 2 to even up the series, and their helpfully lethal shooting guard J.R smith was back from his suspension. Game 3 was as good as anticipated, as the referees let the teams get physical, and the game was close until the final 2 seconds of the game, where Derrick Rose’s heroic antics, lifted the Bulls to a game 3 win.
In the first half the game was close throughout, and both sides game firing at each other. LeBron recorded 7 assists in the 1st quarter, which is the most in Playoff history. He also is now 4th all time in Playoff assists, which puts him in a nice category. At half, the score was 49-47 in favor of the Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving hurt himself in the 1st quarter with a sprained ankle, and he played through the rest of the game, but it is questionable how his health is.
Things even got heated with LeBron James and Joakim Noah (as expected in every series they play each other in).
The game was tight all throughout, with a total of 20 lead changes. Another injury happened, this time it was the Bulls’ Pau Gasol. Gasol left the game with a hamstring injury and he did not return. In the 4th quarter, it was essentially all tied up, and in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter, both teams turned it up. J.R Smith hit two 3’s in the last 2 minutes to tie the game up twice, but at the end it was Derrick Rose heroics:
Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler totaled to 50 points (30 & 20). LeBron James had 27 points, 14 assists, and 8 rebounds, but they couldn’t hold off the Bulls. Bulls win game 3 99-96, and LeBron James and the Cavaliers look to even it up on Sunday.
