Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of The Mandalorian for season two. Joining the series, Dawson will play the role of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice. Previously, Ashley Eckstein had played the character when she appeared in Clone Wars.
The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau confirmed that season two was on the way back in 2019. Favreau also noted that Carl Weathers, playing the role of Greef Carga, would direct an episode in season two. At the moment, the new season is set to hit Disney+ in the fall, but that could all change given the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Favreau’s creation is the first new Star Wars series to appear on the Disney streaming service. Look out for more updates and developments regarding the series as we near the premiere of season two.
