Payton’s highlights from last night:
Payton was drafted 10th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2014 draft. He’s averaged 33.6 minutes, 12.1 points, 7.4 assists (1st among rookies), and 4.7 rebounds since March began and looks to continue his improvement in his final 12 games. Payton should be a lock for the 1st NBA All-Rookie team however rookie of the year honors probably isn’t within reach thanks to his fellow rookies Andrew Wiggins, Nikola Mirotic and Nerlens Noel performances thus far.
Payton and the Magic will take on the Portland Trailblazers this Friday.
