Price, a 6’2 guard who’s spent eleven seasons in the league, will now play for his seventh different team since being drafted. Price had previously played for Sacramento, Utah, Phoenix, Portland, Orlando, and Los Angeles.
For the Thunder, the acquisition of Ronnie Price comes as their first free agent signing since the departure of Kevin Durant. He’ll help serve as a back-up to Russell Westbrook, a role previously occupied by Randy Foye before he left the team to join the Brooklyn Nets this summer.
Price averaged 5.3 points, 2.4 assists, and shot 38% from the field with Phoenix in 62 games last year, coming off the bench in most appearances.
Price went undrafted in 2005, and was later signed to his first NBA deal with the Sacramento Kings.
