Mira Sorvino has said that she and Lisa Kudrow want a ‘Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion’ sequel.
While speaking at the Emmy Awards Performers Peer Group Celebration this week, Sorvino says they have already presented the idea to Disney.
“Disney, if you’re listening – everybody wants it!,” said Sorvino. “Me and Lisa and [writer Robin Schiff] would love to do a sequel. We have asked Disney before. It’s Disney that has to decide to say yes.”
A TV movie prequel aired on ABC Family and featured Kathrine Heigl as Romy and Alexandra Breckenridge as Michele back in 2005.
Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion’ became a cult classic when it hit theaters in 1997 and grossed $29 million at the box office.
