More bad injury news has hit the Indiana Pacers. Along with Al Jefferson and Glenn Robinson lll, Rodney Stuckey will now miss significant time with an injury. In a release by the Pacers on their website they updated those injured players including Stuckey’s more serious injury;
Rodney Stuckey has a left patellar tendon strain and is expected to miss four to six weeks. He sustained the injury in Sunday night’s victory over Philadelphia.
Four to six weeks is brutal for a team who is on the edge of making the playoffs already. The Pacers are only a few games up on the Heat and Bulls and with three significant injuries, their place in the playoffs is anything but set. Stuckey has not been especially good this season but the lack of capable bodies is becoming a concern for a team that has been milk toast most of the year.
Paul George has voiced major concerns regarding the Pacers this season and these injuries will not help. Larry Bird and the Pacers will be attempting to bring together their case for why PG13 should stay and missing the playoffs would be a big ding against that case.
