Unfortunately, Roddy Ricch will not celebrate the release of his sophomore album with a performance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. The California native was forced out of the show due to recent exposure to COVID-19. The bestselling artist shared the news via Instagram on Wednesday afternoon.
“Due to recent [COVID-19] exposure on my team and to keep everyone safe, I won’t be able to perform on SNL this weekend,” he wrote.
“I’m working with the SNL team to lock in a new date though. Stay safe.”
In Roddy Ricch’s absence, Bleachers will serve as this week’s Saturday Night Live musical guest. The indie pop act dropped their third studio album back in July and followed it up with an EP in November. This spring, Bleachers plans to hit the road again with shows in Boston, Massachusetts, Nappa County, California, Manchester, Tennessee and Morrison, Colorado.
