It’s hard to believe, but Chicago’s Rockie Fresh has managed to remain in the music game for a decade strong. The Illinois native began his career back in 2009 with the recording of his project, Rockie’s Modern Life. Since then, he’s been steadily been moving up hill. Three years after recording his major mixtape debut, Rockie linked up with the biggest boss, Rick Ross, and joined Maybach Music Group. Shortly thereafter, he dropped his marquee project, Electric Highway, which features Nipsey Hussle, Rick Ross and many more. However, things have been tougher over the last few years as Rockie looked to make his own imprint on the MMG camp.
Heading into 2019, Rockie is looking to make his voice heard at his new home. At the end of 2018, Rockie Fresh announced he would be moving from MMG’s parent company, Atlantic Records. Today, he’s dropping his first major single with his new label, Rostrum Records. The new record features this week’s most talked about artist, Chris Brown. Originally premiering on Sirius XM earlier today, the record is officially available on all streaming platforms. Be sure to check out the record above and stay tuned for more new music from the Chicago native in 2019.
