We are nearing closer to February which not only means All-Star Weekend is coming, it also means that the trade deadline is coming.
I hate this time of the year because teams are spending this time preparing, calling around. Which means that everything is pretty much a rumour until deadline day. Which annoys the hell out of me.
But what I don’t mind is when teams say who they’re not trading, its definitive. But then again, everybody has a price. So what would it take for the Houston Rockets to let go of Dwight Howard? Nothing apparently.
As much as Dwight Howard’s name was kicked around earlier in the season, league sources continue to say that Houston is not looking at Howard trades and that the odds of Howard being moved are so incredibly small it’s not worth exploring.
Last time I checked with the Rockets they were square on .500, now they have improved on thier record. They must think that they’ve found their feet, which is why neither Dwight or Ty Lawson are getting traded.
This also means that the Rockets are pretty much sticking with what they have, I mean if you’re not trading those guys, who can you trade?
