As Paul grows older any injury is bad news and Rockets fans feared the worst, however there is optimism that the injury will only sideline Paul for a small amount of time. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports a possible timeline of two to three weeks.
here’s optimism that Chris Paul’s left hamstring injury will cost him only two-to-three weeks out of the Rockets lineup, league sources tell ESPN.
Paul, a nine-time NBA All-Star, is putting up solid stats for Houston this season with 15.6 points and 8.0 assists per game. His scoring and efficiency have dropped slightly from previous years, but he’s still a star in the league and will surely be missed in Houston while he recovers. The team will rely heavily on James Harden to keep their record afloat until his back-court partner returns.
Hosuton had high expectations coming into the season and still maintains those expectations today, but are having to fight from behind after a very poor start to the season. The loss of Trevor Ariza, among other role players, in the off-season appears to have severely hampered Houston’s defense and they’ve spent all season figuring out how to contain teams. The Houston offense remains a force to be reckoned with, but with James Harden and Chris Paul already missing time with injuries the season has been an uphill battle. For Houston’s sake, hopefully they’re able to get their star back as soon as possible.
