Hurricane Harvey has devastated many parts of Texas over the past few days. There has been unprecedented rainfall leading to flooding. Several people have lost their lives and many more have lost their homes as there is no end in sight to the damages from the natural disaster.
With assistance needed for the people displaced by the hurricane, the Houston Rockets have come to aid. Team owner Leslie Alexander announced that he and the team are donating four million dollars to a relief fund:

UPDATE: According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Alexander increased his donation to $10 million.

Alexander is one of the several prominent sports figures in Houston to contribute to the relief effort. Texans star JJ Watt and his fans have helped raise one million dollars. Among the people to contribute to Watt’s effort was Rockets’ point guard Chris Paul.
Harvey is still ravaging Houston and other parts of Texas as more rain and wind are in the forecast for the foreseeable future. The donations from Alexander and the Rockets are much needed in helping those directly affected by the storm.
