Robert Pattinson could be making a trip from Gotham to Arrakis.
Dune Director Denis Villeneuve is reportedly wrapping up the writing process for the franchise’s third film. While a formal offer has not been presented to the Mickey 17 star, Deadline indicates Villeneuve will seek the actor out for a role in the third Dune movie. With that said, bringing in Pattinson could pose some challenges.
Pattinson is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. He recently wrapped up A24’s rom-com, The Drama, with Zendaya. Currently, he’s filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Afterward, he’s set to work on DC’s The Batman sequel, which is working toward a 2027 release date.
Still, Dune has found a way to bring in the industry’s most coveted stars, including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Mamoa, Austin Butler, Dave Bautista, and Christopher Walken, among others. The third film, with Chalamet and Zendaya starring, will reportedly begin filming this summer.
