Rob Markman may be the busiest and most interesting man in Hip-Hop. By day, he is a critically acclaimed journalist who has worked at XXL, MTV and most recently, Genius. By night, Rob Markman is a rising rapper who is living out his dream of making music. Having recorded music since his days at XXL, Markman is no rookie to putting out music. Releasing his debut project, Write To Dream, last summer, Markman has skillfully balanced the life of a journalist and a musician. Over the past few months, Markman has worked to put out new content for Genius as their Head of Artist Relations and he’s put out loose tracks like “Hit My Line”.
Continuing on his track of releasing solo records, Rob Markman has returned with new song called “Tables Turn” featuring Stan Sono and Mouse Jones. Mouse Jones starts out the record with a monologue before Rob goes into his first verse rapping, “F*ck you talkin’ ’bout/You ain’t sayin’ nothin’/You just talkin’ loud/We just chalk it out/Man, this sh*t call out/We just hawk it out.” Stan Sono comes in later to deliver a cold hook where he sings, “What a day when the tables are turned.” In Markman’s own words, “Truth is Han Sono KILLED this hook.” Stream Markman’s new song above.
