An unnamed woman has accused Stealth and The Fast and The Furious director Rob Cohen of sexually assaulting. According to a report from the HuffPost, the incident occurred during a 20515 business meeting in Manhattan. Cohen allegedly invited a 28 year old woman to a cigar lounge to discuss collaborating on a television pilot. During the initial meeting, Cohen allegedly ordered a drink that the woman did not want.
Afterwards, the two allegedly went to a restaurant at the director’s hotel. While at the hotel, the HuffPost reports that Cohen allegedly “encouraged her to drink some more.” Towards the end of their encounter at the hotel, the woman told the HuffPost that she began to feel “fuzzy”. At this point, the woman blacked out. She tells the HuffPost that she remembers waking up with his “face in her crotch and his fingers inside her.”
Cohen has denied any wrongdoing. Cohen’s attorney, Martin Singer, went as far as to write a thirteen page letter addressing the matter today.
Singer writes, “The proposed Story is an outrageous defamatory hit piece, making extraordinarily offensive assertions that my client engaged in heinous sexual misconduct, criminal wrongdoing, and other inappropriate behavior, which are vehemently disputed and denied by my client.”
Singer added that he cautions the HuffPost against “publishing this Story in an effort to feed the ‘Me Too’ media frenzy with this salacious Story.”
The accuser has asked that her identity remain unknown for the time being.
More details will be added to this report as they become available.
